eDPI and Mouse Sensitivity Explained
Updated 2026-10-04
Mouse sensitivity numbers are confusing because each game uses its own scale. Two measures cut through that.
DPI and eDPI
DPI is how many counts your mouse reports per inch of movement. eDPI is DPI multiplied by the in-game sensitivity. It works for comparing settings inside one game.
cm per 360
cm per 360 is how far you move the mouse to turn a full circle. It combines DPI, sensitivity and the game's yaw value, so it compares fairly across games. Use the eDPI & Sensitivity Converter to calculate it.
Finding your sensitivity
- Start from a setting you already know feels comfortable.
- Change it in steps of about 5 to 10%, not large jumps.
- Play for several sessions before changing it again.
- Keep it once your aim stops feeling too fast or too slow.
Settings that matter
Turn off Enhance pointer precision in Windows, and keep the Windows pointer speed at its default for shooters. Use a mouse pad large enough for your cm per 360.
