CPU/GPU Comparison

Choose two CPUs or two graphics cards and compare their performance index, power draw, performance per watt and key specs in one table.

How to use the CPU/GPU Comparison

  1. Choose whether to compare graphics cards or CPUs.
  2. Select Part A and Part B.
  3. Read the percentage difference at the top.
  4. Check power and VRAM or core counts in the table before you decide.

How it is calculated

The performance index is a relative tier. GPUs are scaled so the GeForce RTX 4090 equals 100 at 1440p. CPUs are scaled so the Ryzen 7 9800X3D equals 100 in games. The percentage difference is the ratio of the two indexes.

Index per 100 W divides the index by power draw and multiplies by 100, a rough efficiency measure. The tiers are rounded estimates from public reviews. They are not RaggisHub measurements, and individual games will differ.

Hardware performance values are approximate relative tiers from public review data, rounded by hand. They are estimates, not RaggisHub measurements.

Frequently asked questions

What does the performance index mean?

It is a relative score. A part at 80 is about 80% as fast as the reference part at 100 in the type of workload described under the table.

Why are prices not shown?

Prices change daily, and stale prices mislead. Check a current retailer listing before you buy.

Can I compare a CPU with a GPU?

No. They do different jobs. Use the bottleneck calculator to see how a CPU and GPU pair together.

Is the part with more VRAM always better?

No. VRAM matters when a game needs more than the card has. Beyond that, memory speed and the GPU itself decide performance.
